Tammy, I have been doing these throughout my 5×5.. Oh My OUCH! You feel them so much in the butt lol..
It seems really similar to dead lifts. Do you think they interfere with dead lift progress?
I don’t think so, but I do them on opposite days of the deadlifts. And they are much, much harder than deadlifts! I can do less than half of my deadlift weight on those. It’s more of a chest exercise, but with the stance, it’s a lot of hamstring, too.
I love these. Started them about a month ago!
I have had a long internal debate about Pedlay vs traditional rows. I think I am gonna give the Penday’s a try. I love your posts btw!
Thank you! I haven’t done these yet. My left lat is developing faster than my right. I’m considering dropping the bar and using dumb bells for bent over rows. Hate to screw around with the 5 x 5 program, though. Still thinking…
